The 8th cave, also popularly known as the Great Chaitya is the most popular since it has a large prayer for the Buddhists. It is said that in the past, Buddhist monks used to reside here. It has fine sculptures of men, women, and various animals. One can also find the remains of the Ashoka Pillar here.
